Terms of Service
1. Agreement to Terms
By subscribing to LEGWORK services, submitting a contact form on legworkdata.com, or otherwise engaging LEGWORK (“LEGWORK,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity.
For clients who have signed a Master Service Agreement (MSA), the MSA will govern in the event of any conflict with these Terms.
2. Description of Services
LEGWORK provides two categories of services:
2.1 Event Registration Integrations
- Zapier Integrations — connecting registration platforms to 7,000+ apps
- Custom API Integrations — direct API pipelines with hourly syncs, revenue tracking, SMS consent management, and ambassador attribution
- Marketing Consulting — email strategy, segmentation, campaign optimization, first-timer retention
- Ongoing Maintenance — updates when source platform APIs change, new field mapping, and troubleshooting
2.2 Agentic Marketing Systems
- AI Content Agents — specialized agents for email copy, social content, and ad creative, trained on the client’s brand voice and buyer personas
- Campaign Orchestration — coordinating agents that manage marketing calendars, assign tasks to specialist agents, and ensure cross-channel consistency
- Reporting & Insights — analytics agents that compile performance data and generate plain-language reports with recommendations
- Ongoing Optimization — iterating on agent configurations, persona definitions, and content strategies based on performance data
3. Account & Access
To deliver our services, you must provide valid API credentials for your registration and destination platforms. For agentic marketing services, you must provide access to relevant marketing platforms, brand assets, and audience data. You are responsible for maintaining valid keys, notifying us promptly if credentials change, and ensuring your platform subscriptions remain active.
4. Service Plans & Pricing

Annual plans save approximately 17% and waive setup fees. External tool subscriptions (Zapier, N8N, etc.) are billed separately. Custom API work is priced per project — contact us for a quote.
4.2 Agentic Marketing Systems
Agentic marketing systems are priced on a custom basis, determined during the discovery process. Pricing depends on the number of marketing channels, complexity of persona targeting, volume of content, and level of orchestration required. All agentic marketing engagements begin with a free 30-minute discovery call.
5. Billing & Payment
- Monthly subscriptions billed on the first of each month
- Annual subscriptions billed at the start of the annual period
- Custom agentic marketing engagements billed per the agreed-upon schedule
- Payment due upon receipt of invoice
- Invoices unpaid after 15 days may result in service suspension
- Invoices unpaid after 30 days may result in termination
- Price changes require 30 days’ written notice
6. Setup Fees

Setup includes discovery call, integration architecture, configuration, field mapping, testing, and go-live support. Agentic marketing system setup fees are determined during the discovery process.
7. Refund Policy
- Setup fees: Non-refundable once work has begun (after discovery call). Full refund if work has not started.
- Monthly subscriptions: Cancel anytime. No refunds for partial months. Service continues through end of billing period.
- Annual subscriptions: Cancel with 30 days’ notice. Within first 30 days: full refund minus one month at monthly rate. After 30 days: prorated refund for remaining full months at the monthly rate.
- Service failures: If LEGWORK fails to deliver for 14+ consecutive days due to our fault (not third-party outages), you receive a prorated credit.
8. Service Level Expectations

We target 99% uptime for custom API integrations (excluding third-party outages and planned maintenance) and having integrations operational within one week of receiving all required access.
These are service level expectations, not contractual guarantees. Clients requiring a formal SLA should contact us about an MSA.
9. Client Obligations
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information necessary for service delivery
- Maintain active third-party platform subscriptions
- Notify us promptly of credential or configuration changes
- Comply with all applicable data protection laws (CCPA, GDPR)
- Obtain all necessary consents from registrants before instructing us to process their data
- Review and approve all AI-generated content before publication or distribution
- Comply with our Acceptable Use Policy
10. Data Ownership & Processing
All registration data and marketing data remains your property. LEGWORK acts as a data processor and processes data only as instructed by you. We do not use your data for our own marketing, sell it, or share it with unauthorized parties.
Upon termination, we delete your data from our infrastructure within 30 days. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
11. Third-Party Platforms
LEGWORK is not responsible for outages, API changes, data loss, or pricing changes by third-party platforms including ACTIVE.com, Let’s Do This, RunSignUp, Klaviyo, Google, Zapier, Roster, AWS, or AI model providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, etc.).
When a third-party API changes, LEGWORK will update the affected integration as part of your subscription. Complex changes may require additional time.
12. Intellectual Property
LEGWORK retains all IP rights in our integration frameworks, agent architectures, code templates, and methodologies. You retain all IP rights in your registration data, branding, marketing content, and audience data. Zapier workflows configured in your account remain accessible to you.
AI-generated content: Upon payment in full, you own all rights to AI-generated marketing content (email copy, social posts, ad creative, reports) produced by LEGWORK’s agentic marketing systems on your behalf. LEGWORK retains no rights to this content once delivered and approved.
13. AI-Generated Content
LEGWORK’s agentic marketing systems use artificial intelligence to generate marketing content. By using these services, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Human review is required. All AI-generated content must be reviewed and approved by you (or your designated representative) before publication, distribution, or use in any marketing channel. LEGWORK is not responsible for content published without adequate human review.
- AI output is not guaranteed. While our agents are configured with your brand voice and audience data, AI-generated content may occasionally contain inaccuracies, inconsistencies, or require editing. You are responsible for verifying factual claims, compliance with advertising regulations, and alignment with your brand standards.
- No autonomous publishing. LEGWORK’s agents do not autonomously publish, send, or distribute content. All final publication decisions are made by you.
- Regulatory compliance. You are responsible for ensuring that AI-generated content used in your marketing complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including FTC guidelines on AI-generated content, advertising standards, and industry-specific requirements.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LEGWORK’s total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to LEGWORK in the six (6) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
This limitation applies to all claims whether based on contract, tort, strict liability, or any other legal theory.
15. Exclusion of Consequential Damages
In no event shall LEGWORK be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, revenue, data, business, or goodwill — regardless of the cause of action and even if LEGWORK has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LEGWORK from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your violation of these Terms, your violation of applicable law, your failure to obtain required consents, your publication of AI-generated content without adequate review, or any third-party claim arising from your use of the services.
17. Termination
- By Client: Cancel anytime with written notice to [email protected]
- By LEGWORK: Immediately for uncured breach (14-day cure period) or non-payment (30 days). With 30 days’ notice for any other reason.
- Effect: All data processing ceases. Your data is deleted from our infrastructure within 30 days. You retain access to your own platform accounts. Outstanding invoices become due immediately.
18. Modifications to Terms
We may modify these Terms with 30 days’ written notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. You may terminate before changes take effect if you disagree.
19. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation (30 days), then binding arbitration (JAMS, Los Angeles, CA). Either party may bring qualifying claims in small claims court. You waive the right to participate in class actions.
20. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, AUP, and any applicable MSA/SOW, constitute the entire agreement.
- Severability: If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- Force Majeure: LEGWORK is not liable for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
- Assignment: You may not assign without our consent. LEGWORK may assign in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
